John: I have no idea where to eat.

잔: 어디서 먹어야 할 지 전혀 생각이 안 나네.

Matthew: We only have an hour for lunch.

매튜: 점심 시간 1시간 밖에 없어.

John: I know. Oh look there's an interesting looking restaurant.

잔: 알아. 아 저기 봐 괜찮아 보이는 식당이 있다.

Matthew: It's a laundromat!

매튜: 저건 빨래방이잖아!

John: And they serve food!

잔: 음식도 팔아!

Matthew: What? Hamburgers with starch?

매튜: 뭐? 풀 먹인 햄버거 먹자고?

John: Let's park and give it a shot.

잔: 차 세우고 한 번 먹어보자.

Matthew: I don't have change for the parking meter.

매튜: 나 주차 미터기에 넣을 동전 없어.

John: That makes two of us. I don't have change either.

잔: 나도 그래. 동전이 없네.

Matthew: Remind me to not have lunch with you again.

매튜: 너하고 다시는 점심 안 먹을테니 내가 까먹어도 그렇게 얘기해줘.

기억할만한 표현

*(one) has no idea: 전혀 모르겠어.

“I have no idea how I’m going to have dinner ready in twenty minutes.” (20분 안에 어떻게 저녁을 차려야 할지 아무 생각이 없어.)

*give it a shot: 한 번 해보다.

“You never played golf before? Well, let’s play this weekend. Give it a shot.” (한 번도 골프 안쳐봤어? 그럼, 이번 주말에 치자. 한 번 해봐.“

*remind me to…: 얘기해주다, 상기시키다.

”Remind me to buy mayonnaise when we go shopping.“ (장보러 가면 마요네즈 사라고 얘기해줘.)
