(코리아타운뉴스) Countdown for Korean Festival

Event to be held over four days from Oct. 12

The countdown for the 44th L.A. Korean Festival has begun. With the opening ceremony on Oct. 12, the event will go on until Oct. 15 at the L.A. Koreatown’s Seoul International Park.

The L.A. Korean Festival began blocking the roads to install booths starting on Oct. 6. For this year’s event, 272 booths will be installed. Among those, 111 booths will be set up by agricultural and fishery products, alongside 94 local booths and 24 from South Korean businesses. Sixteen food and snack booths will also be available. Eight additional booths will sell beers and other beverages, while three car booths will also take place.

The foundation held its final test to ensure the completion of all preparations.

“Everything is being prepared properly,” Jimmy Lee, the foundation president, said at the final meeting. “Please focus on promoting our event so that many people can come visit.”

Additional parking structure will be available at 3450 and 3550 Wilshire Boulevard. Shuttle services will transport visitors to the event from the parking structures. The shuttle will start operating from 12:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 12, followed by 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. from Oct. 13 to Oct. 15.
