[오늘의 생활영어] have (one's) eye on (something); ~에 눈독을 들이다

(Lee and Tom are having coffee after work … )

Lee: I finally talked myself into buying a computer.

Tom: Did you buy a notebook?

Lee: No, I got a desktop.

Tom: I've got my eye on a notebook.

Lee: I checked out some notebooks but they don't have the power I need.

Tom: I like them because they're light and you can take them anywhere.

Lee: That's not a big deal with me. Besides notebooks are more expensive.

Tom: You get what you pay for.

Lee: Then why don't you buy one?

Tom: I'm saving my money.

* talk (one) into (doing something): ~를 ~하도록 설득하다

"She can talk Roger into doing anything for her."

* check out (something): ~를 알아보다

"David is checking out the park to see if it is big enough for our picnic."

"What's the big deal about the movie? I didn't like it."
