[오늘의 생활영어] I'm all for it; 전적으로 찬성합니다

Lee and Harry are talking about their son Ron.

Lee: Next year is Ron's senior year.

Harry: I know; his last year of high school. Time flies.

Lee: He told me he wants to get a job this summer.

Harry: Really? That's news to me.

Lee: His senior year is expensive and he wants to pay for it himself.

Harry: Well, I'm all for it. He's showing responsibility.

Lee: Our baby will soon be leaving the nest.

Harry: He's not a baby anymore.

Lee: He'll always be my baby.

Harry: Well, I'm glad this baby is getting a job.

"Time flies when you're having fun."

*That's news to me: 금시초문인데.

Jim: "John is getting married."

Roger: "That's news to me. Nobody told me."

*leave the nest: 부모 품을 떠나다.

"My wife cried when our daughter left the nest to go to college."
