[오늘의 생활영어] have a change of heart ; 마음을 바꾸다

Esther is talking to her daughter Kelly.

Esther: So you‘re not going to go through with it?

Kelly: No, Mom I’m not.

Esther: Marriage is a big step to take in life.

Kelly: I don‘t think I’m ready to get married right now.

Esther: How did John take it?

Kelly: He was disappointed but he understood.

Esther: How did you tell him?

Kelly: I just told him I had a change of heart.

Esther: You‘re young. You have plenty of time to get married.

Kelly: Yes and I want to be sure I know what I’m doing.
