[오늘의 생활영어] (one) is not up to it; ~을 하고 싶지 않다
티나: 뭐해?
Chris: I'm just kicking back.
크리스: 그냥 쉬고 있어.
Tina: I thought you were going to wash the car.
티나: 차 닦는다고 하지 않았어.
Chris: I'm not up to it right now. It's too hot outside.
크리스: 지금은 하기 싫어서. 바깥이 너무 더워.
Tina: Wait until the sun goes down and the weather gets cooler.
티나: 해가 지고 날씨가 서늘해질 때까지 기다려.
Chris: That's what I'm doing.
크리스: 지금 그러는 중이야.
Tina: In my desk at work I came across some photos of our vacation in Hawaii.
티나: 오늘 회사 책상에서 우리가 하와이 휴가 갔을 때 찍은 사진 몇 장을 우연히 발견했어.
Chris: (Looking at himself in the photos) Wow! I really put on weight then.
크리스: (자신의 사진을 보며) 와! 이때는 정말 몸무게가 늘었네.
Tina: Vacations are about relaxing eating and having fun.
티나: 휴가 가면 원래 쉬고 먹고 놀고 그러잖아.
Chris: I'm glad I don't look like that now.
크리스: 지금은 그 때 같지 않아서 다행이다.

*kick back: 쉬다.
“I’m just going to kick back this weekend and watch sports on TV.” (이번 주말에는 TV로 스포츠 중계나 보면서 쉴까 봐.)
*come across (something): (무엇을) 우연히 발견하다.
“I came across my old high school pictures.” (옛날 고등학교 때 사진을 우연히 찾았어.)
*put on weight: 몸무게가 늘다.
“I usually put on weight during Thanksgiving and Christmas.” (추수감사절하고 성탄절 때는 몸무게가 늘어.)
