[오늘의 생활영어] I'm going to call it a night; 자야겠다

(Roger is visiting his sister Diana in New York…)

Diana: How was your flight?

Roger: It was good.

Diana: Would you like something to eat?

Roger: You said it!

Diana: I take it the food on the airplane wasn't any good.

Roger: You're right. It wasn't.

Diana: I'll start you off with some soup.

Roger: That sounds good.

Diana: You look tired.

Roger: I am. I think I'm going to call it a night after dinner.

*You said it: 맞아.

Jim: “It’s cold today.”

Roger: “You said it.”

*I take it…: …

“I take it you’re not hungry. You didn’t eat anything on your plate.”

*I’ll start you off with…: …

“I’ll start you off with a salad then we’ll have steak.”
