[오늘의 생활영어] get a kick out of (something); (~을 하는) 재미에 빠지다

Laura is talking to her daughter Kate.

Kate: My English class is so hard.

Laura: I've never heard you say that before.

Kate: Well I don't get a kick out of writing every day

Laura: Are you telling me that you finally have your hands full in one of your classes?

Kate: I can tell you're enjoying this.

Laura: That's not true but it's good to see you have to work on one of your classes.

Kate: I don't like it.

Laura: Keep in mind that's what you should do in all of your classes.

Kate: That doesn't seem like fun.

Laura: Then don't even think about going to college.

*have your hands full:

“Mary had her hands full raising three boys by herself.”

*work on (something): 열심히 ~하다.

“Sam worked on his golf game all summer.”

*keep in mind: 염두에 두다.

“Are you keeping in mind the things you have to do before you go to the movie?”
