[오늘의 생활영어] take (someone or something) seriously; 진지하게 받아들이다
Ron: I don‘t know what to do. I was hoping you can help me.
Aldo: Have you talked to your parents about this?
Ron: I brought it up but they don’t listen to me.
Aldo: So you want to be a musician but your parents don‘t like the idea.
Ron:That’s right. They don‘t take me seriously.
Aldo: And you want me to talk to them about this?
Ron: Would you please? You’re his brother. Maybe he‘ll listen to you.
Aldo: I know you have a lot of talent but I’m not sure I should get involved.
Ron: Well I‘m taking a stand on this because I have a chance to join a band.
Aldo: Okay. I’m playing golf with them on Saturday. I‘ll kick it around with them.
