[JSR] Hannah Sung named the First Student of the Month for JSR
The Korea Daily, who has predominantly focused on middle and high school students in the J student reporter program, announces the first ‘Best Student Reporter of the Month’, Hannah Sung (10th grade), from Crescenta Valley High School. The cultural exchange between first generation parents and second generation students to help readers discover adolescent student’s interests and living, resulted in the creation of this program in 2008. The program currently has 9 editors and 55 student reporters active on during this 22nd term. Former student reporters have attended numerous high end colleges, such as Yale and Harvard. In September, numerous community events had been reported diligently by Hannah Sung, who started writing in 8th grade and since been in this program for 3 consecutive years. In her younger years, she always loved novels and writing, which was why she decided to pursue her passion, joining the program under her moms recommendation. Now she reports everything from major events to small stories happening in her community.
The student reporter of September, Hannah Sung, was given the award on October 18 by Korea Daily.
