[오늘의 생활영어] get in the way of (something)…(무엇을) 방해하다
Yvette: Morning! I brought donuts for everyone.
Lester: Donuts! I can't go off my diet.
Yvette: It won't hurt you to have one.
Lester: My problem is that I can't stop at just one.
Yvette: If you put your mind to it you can.
Lester: If I had that much discipline I wouldn't need to be on a diet.
Yvette: I don't want to get in the way of you losing weight.
Lester: Does this mean that you won't try to talk me into eating a donut?
Yvette: I won't say another word about it.
Lester: Thanks. I really appreciate that.
