[오늘의 생활영어] better late than never; 늦더라도 안 하는 것보다 낫다

Marty and Brett are talking in the office.

Brett: Good morning Marty.

Marty: Morning Brett. How was your meeting with the president yesterday?

Brett: It was great. I think he is coming around to my way of thinking.

Marty: It took him long enough to believe in you.

Brett: Better late than never.

Marty: What's your next step?

Brett: He wants me to write a detailed proposal. He wants it on his desk Monday morning.

Marty: I've got some time to help you if you need it.

Brett: Great idea. If we put our heads together it shouldn't take long.

Marty: Terrific. Let's get started.
