A high school basketball coach is talking to his team before a game. (고등학교 농구부 코치가 경기 전에 선수들과 말하고 있다.)

Coach: All right everybody, listen up!

코치: 자 전부 주목!

Ray: Quiet guys. Coach is talking.

레이: 모두 조용히 해. 코치님 말씀하시잖아.

Coach: We can beat this team. They're not better than us.

코치: 오늘 상대팀은 꺾을 수 있어. 우리보다 나을 게 없는 팀이야.

Kevin: We have to play tight defense.

케빈: 우린 밀착 수비를 해야 돼.

Paul: We have to go all out the entire game.

Coach: That's right.

Sam: We can't let them get easy baskets.

*listen up: 주목.

“Listen up kids. We have to leave the house by 9:00 tomorrow morning.” (얘들아 잘 들어. 우린 내일 아침 9시에 집에서 떠나야 돼.)

*tight defense: 밀착 수비.

“Tight defense will win the game for us.” (우린 밀착 수비를 해야 경기를 이길 수 있어.)

*easy baskets: 쉽게 득점하다.

“They got a lot of easy baskets on us because we played poor defense.” (우리 팀의 수비가 허술하니까 상대팀이 득점을 쉽게 하잖아.)
