Korean-American Chamber of Commerce USA Bring 200 Entrepreneurs and Korean Government Officials to Dallas

The Korean-American Chamber of Commerce USA(KACC USA) held its first ever nationa
l convention in Dallas.

Entrepreneurs from South Korea and across United States, Korean government officials and Dallas local entrepreneurs attended the convention, which was held at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel from Saturday April 21 to Tuesday April 24, 2018.

Some of the most notable attendees of the opening ceremony include Sun-Yup Kim of Greater New York Korean American Chamber of Commerce, Won-Gul Kim of Silicon Valley Korean American Chamber of Commerce, Byung-Koo Hwang of Florida Korea American Chamber of Commerce, former KACC USA president Jung-Hyung Lee.

Well-know local figures also attended the convention, including San-Soo Lee of Consular Office of the Republic of Korea in Dallas, president Suk-Chan Yoo of Korea Society of Dallas, and David Moon of Sam Moon Group.



This event marks the first time ever the leaders of the Korean American business community gathered in place for networking and exchange of ideas and business opportunities.

KACC USA president David Kang welcomed the attendees during the opening ceremony, held on Sunday, April 22nd at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel.

“This marks the beginning of the long journey that KACC USA is embarking on. Our destination is the land of hope and prosperity. There will certainly be obstacles on the way. But if we all come together, I have no doubt in my mind we will get there in the end.” Said Kang.

“This year’s convention will serve as the foundation for bigger and better things to come for KACC USA.” Kang added.

Young-Ho Kim, who chaired the event committee, credited David Kang’s leadership for bringing the convention to fruition.

“David Kang chose not to settle in the status quo. He, instead, chose to give all he has to revitalize the KACC USA. With David Kang’s leadership, this convention will grow to be an event of the KACC USA members, by the KACC USA members, and for the KACC USA members.” Kim said.

Overseas Koreans Foundation, which is a Korean government agency that handles issues pertaining to Koreans living overseas, sent six officials including the chairman Woo-Sung Han.

After the opening ceremony, Woo-Sung Han hosted luncheon. It was followed by series of events such as introduction of Korean companies, award ceremony, seminar on US economic climate and etc. Some of the Korean companies that attended the convention include Vinetech, Xperon, Overdigm, Lotte Hotel and Resorts, to name a few.

During the convetion, KACC USA also signed MOU with DanKook University and Korea Cheerleading Association.

Events during the final two days of the convention included a round of golf and sightseeing.

KACC USA is a non-profit organization made up of tens of thousands of Korean-American businessmen and businesswomen all over the United States.

KACC USA’s primary goal is to promote business opportunities and provide networking platform for its members.

KACC USA has been an active participant in the World Korean Business Convention, which is held annually in South Korea.
