Hyejin: Do you want to see me?

혜진: 저 보자고 하셨죠?

Advisor: That's right. We need to have a heart-to-heart talk.

지도교수: 그래. 우리 좀 터놓고 얘기하자.

Hyejin: About what?

혜진: 무슨 얘긴대요?

Advisor: Your attendance … or rather lack of it.

지도교수: 네 출석말이야. 다시 말하면 잘 안나오는 것 말인데.

Hyejin: Okay, so I've ditched a few classes.

혜진: 맞아요, 수업 몇 번 빼먹긴 했죠.

Advisor: A few times? Your teachers say you're rarely in class. You're setting yourself up to fail.

지도교수: 몇 번이라고? 선생님들 얘기로는 별로 수업에 오는 적이 없다고 하는데. 낙제하려고 준비하는 구나.

Hyejin: Oh, come on. Those classes are really boring.

혜진: 어머, 아니에요. 수업이 너무 지루해서 그래요.

Advisor: But they're also required. You're in big trouble.

지도교수: 그래도 필수과목들이야. 너 큰 일 난 거야.

Hyejin: What's the big deal about missing some classes?

혜진: 수업 몇 개 빼먹은 게 뭐가 그리 큰 일이에요?

Advisor: The big deal is that you can lose your student visa.

지도교수: 학생 비자를 박탈당할 수 있다는 게 큰 일인 거지.
