[오늘의 생활영어] don't bet on it ; 너무 믿지는 마세요

(Sara and carol are having lunch … )

Sara: I don't have the slightest idea what I want to eat.

Carol: Don't look now but I see David Long having lunch with Tanya.

Sara: He's been married for a long time.

Carol: He's taking a big chance eating in this restaurant.

Sara: I thought he was happily married.

Carol: I don't know but it doesn't look good.

Sara: I'd like to believe that it's a business lunch.

Carol: Don't bet on it.

Sara: How can you be sure?

Carol: They're holding hands.
