[오늘의 생활영어] head up to (head down to); ~을 향해 나아가다

Jerry: I really need this long weekend. I'm burned out.

Laurie: I know what you mean. The last two weeks have been brutal.

Jerry: I just have a few odds and ends to take care of before we head up to the mountains.

Laurie: It will be nice to get out of the city for a while.

Jerry: Absolutely! The mountains are my favorite place to unwind and take my mind off all the daily hassles.

Laurie: I really want to hike.

Jerry: Sounds good. I want to do some fishing too.

Laurie: This is a perfect time for you to teach me how to fish.

*to be burned out:

"John is burned out so he quit his job."

"We only need a few odds and ends to finish the house."
