Grace Ministries International opens fall registration on Sept. 9

Fullerton-based Grace Ministries International will open registration for the fall semester starting Sept. 9.

Courses will be held for 11 weeks until Nov. 18. Eighteen classes will be offered to students, including English, dance, traditional dance, guitar, saxophone, keyboard, singing, drawing, photography, smartphone and computer.
Classes are held every Saturday at 9 a.m. Lunch will be provided weekly as the classes end at 1:30 p.m.

Most notably, this year’s set of classes is offering a variety of subjects.
“We’re going to open classes to provide classes in a creative way,” said Hak-jin Park, the program director.

“Those classes include watching films, taking a walk while listening to opera, writing a biography, editing videos and becoming a handyman. When the courses end on Nov. 18, the students will be invited to the Buena Park CGV theaters for a night out with the group.”

Grace Ministries International will also provide medical checkup for the students.

“Basic tests including blood pressure checkup will be free,” said Sung-chun Lee, the dean of students. “Cancer checks and other blood tests will be provided at affordable prices.”

The most popular courses in the fall semester are often keyboard and gardening classes, according to program coordinator Sung-woong Kim.

“Even someone who is completely new to playing the keyboard will be able to complete a song by the end of the course,” said Boo-sun Choi, the designated instructor for the keyboard course.

Gardening instructor Kyung-shin Kim said: “I’ve seen the interest in gardening grow rapidly recently. My lectures will be detail-oriented as I plan on teaching the students about the fundamentals of gardening.”

Applicants must submit their applications at Grace Ministries International (second floor) by 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 9. Enrollment fee is $100. More information is available on the school’s website (gracecec.com). Inquiries can be made by calling 714-357-3003.
