[오늘의 생활영어] a stand up guy; 믿을만한 친구

Jim and Roger are talking at work.

Jim: We need to find another teacher for the morning classes.

Roger: Are we adding a new class?

Jim: No. Terry gave two-weeks notice. He's leaving.

Roger: Really? Well, I know someone who would be an excellent teacher.

Jim: Who?

Roger: A friend of mine. His name is Darren. He's taught before he's funny and he's a stand up guy.

Jim: Well, have him come in for an interview.

Roger: When do you want to see him?

Jim: Any day at nine o'clock is good for me.

"I'm giving two-weeks notice today. I found a better job."

*have (someone) come in:

"If your friend wants to work here have her come in any time next week."

*(a day or time) is good for (someone): (언제가) 좋다.

"If you want to have lunch this week Friday is good for me."
