[오늘의 생활영어] What does it or that come to?; 그럼 다 합해서 얼마죠?

(Alan is at a garage sale … )

(앨런이 창고 세일에 갔다…)

Alan: How much is this bookshelf?

앨런: 이 책장은 얼마죠?



Dealer: That's $50.

딜러: 50달러요.

Alan: I'll take it. And how much is this table?

앨런: 제가 살게요. 이 식탁은요?

Dealer: It's $30.

딜러: 30달러요.

Alan: But one of the legs is broken.

앨런: 하지만 다리 하나가 부러졌는데요.

Dealer: I'm sorry. All items are sold as is.

딜러: 죄송해요. 모두 그 가격대로 팔도록 돼있어요.

Alan: I'll give you $25 for it.

앨런: 25달러 드릴게요.

Dealer: Okay. You got a deal.

딜러: 그러죠. 그럼 흥정한 겁니다.

Alan: Now the bookshelf and the table; what does that come to?

앨런: 자 그럼 책장하고 식탁이요 다 합해서 얼마죠?

Dealer: That's $75.00 Do you need any help to your car?

딜러: 75달러에요. 자동차까지 가져가는데 도와드릴까요?

기억할만한 표현

* I'll take it: (제가 그 가격에) 사겠습니다

Salesman: "This dress is $24.99." (이 드레스는 24달러 99센트에요.)

Julie: "I'll take it." (살게요.)

* (something is) sold as is: (흠이 있는 상태로) 그냥 사가셔야 합니다

"We don't do repairs. All items are sold as is." (우리는 수리는 안합니다. 모든 물건은 그대로 사가시는 겁니다.)

* you got a deal: 살게요 팔게요

Dealer: "This TV is only $299." (이 TV는 299달러밖에 안합니다.)

Kathy: "I want it! You got a deal." (좋아요! 살게요.)
