(코리아타운뉴스) “Ahn’s Win Depends on Early Voting”

Pio-Pico Library to provide voting booth on June 3 and 4
Voter registration and voting both available

The election for California’s 34th Congressional District is only one day away.

Robert Ahn, 41, held a press conference on May 31 at L.A. Koreatown’s Pio-Pico Library and hinted that the result of the upcoming election will likely hinge on the participation of early voting. Voters who may find it difficult to cast their ballots on June 6.

Early voting for the upcoming election will be available on June 3 and 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pio-Pico Library, Arroyo Seco Library and Fuente Running Center. Voters may submit their mail-in ballots physically. Those who have not registered to vote may also do so.

The L.A. County election department also made on announcement on its website.

“The ballots must be filled in with pens available at the voting booths,” the announcement read. “Marking the ballot with other pens could potentially result in the cancellation of the ballot. Voters must also be standing in line before 4 p.m. to participate.”

At the last election, some voters gave up on voting as the line got excessively dragged out. “Voters submitting their mail-in ballots do not have to stand in line,” the announcement read.

“This is a great opportunity for Korean-Americans to show their power,” Ahn said. “The 34th District is in the center of L.A. and mainstream politicians are turning their attention to the result of this election.”
