Korean Resource Center launches podcast to deliver immigration news
The first episode was posted on Dec. 22 on KRCLA’s website (krcla.org/ko/show) and its YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/krclaorg). The mission of the show is to educate Korean-Americans across the country about the latest immigration news.
In its first episode, the “Dream Show” explained the details of the Bridge Act, a bipartisan bill which maintains the protection of President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, widely known as DACA.
The fate of DACA has been drawing attention since the November election as President-elect Donald Trump has sternly stood by his proposal to oppose immigration policies.
The Dream Show also covers news and interests of undocumented Korean immigrations.
“I’ve been receiving tens of phone calls from undocumented Korean immigrations who are worried about the potential disbanding of DACA, said KRCLA project director Jenny Sun. “The Dream Show was made to deliver them with the latest immigration news.”
The show plans to invite an expert in various fields.
“We’re going to try our best to have the best experts on the show who can explain to Korean-American immigrants about everything they need to know when it comes to immigration policies,” said NAKASEK executive director Dae-joong Yoon.

“We’re going to compile what Korean-Americans are interested in learning about immigration and supply that demand through the Dream Show,” KRCC director In-hye Choi. “We hope that the show will contribute to the lives of Korean immigrants in the U.S.”
