Daniel: Hi Joel.

대니얼: 안녕 조얼.



Joel: Oh hi Daniel.

조얼: 안녕 대니얼.

Daniel: You look beat.

대니얼: 피곤해 보이네.

Joel: I am. I stayed up late last night.

조얼: 피곤해. 어제 늦게까지 안자고 있었거든.

Daniel: Why?

대니얼: 왜?

Joel: I was studying for today's test.

조얼: 오늘 시험 때문에 공부하고 있었어.

Daniel: Don't worry. You'll ace it.

대니얼: 걱정하지 마. 아주 잘할 거야.

Joel: I hope so. I have to pass this class.

조얼: 그랬으면 좋겠어. 이 수업 잘 통과해야 돼.

Daniel: You'll do fine. After the test we'll celebrate over pizza.

대니얼: 잘 할 거야. 시험 본 후 축하하는 겸 피자먹으러 가자.

Joel: I hope you're right.

조얼: 네 말대로 됐으면 좋겠다.

기억할만한 표현

* you look beat: 피곤해보이다

"Did you get enough sleep last night? You look beat."

(어제 밤에 충분히 주무신 거에요? 피곤해보이네요.)

* (one) will ace it: 시험에서 A를 받을 것이다. 시험을 잘 볼 것이다

"She's a very good student. She'll ace all her tests."

(걔는 공부 잘하는 학생이죠. 시험에서 A 받을 겁니다.)

* celebrate over (something): ~를 축하하다

"If you get that job we'll celebrate over dinner."

(당신이 그 직장을 얻게 되면 우리 저녁 먹으면서 축하합시다.)
