[오늘의 생활영어] take (something) to heart; 마음에 새기다, 새겨 듣다

(Two friends are having lunch … )

Hal: Dude how's your new roommate?

Martha: She really turns me off.

Hal: What happened?

Martha: She always messes around when I'm trying to study.

Hal: Why don't you have a talk with her?

Martha: I tried but she hasn't taken it to heart so far.

Hal: How many times have you talked to her?

Martha: At least three.

Hal: What are you going to do next?

Martha: I'm going to look for another apartment.
