Ellen: What are you doing?

엘런: 뭐 해?

Mike: I'm looking at some old photos of me in high school.

마이크: 옛날 고등학교 때 찍은 사진 좀 보고 있어.

Ellen: (Looking at a picture) Wow! You look so young then.

엘런: (사진 한 장을 보며) 와! 그 때 당신 너무 청춘이다.

Mike: We all did. Look at this picture of you.

마이크: 우리 모두 그랬지. 여기 당신 사진 봐.

Ellen: Oh my God! I can't believe I wore my hair like that!

엘런: 세상에! 내가 머리를 이렇게 했단 말이야!

Mike: As I look back on my life I think I made the right choices.

마이크: 돌이켜 보면 내가 올바른 선택을 했던 것 같아.

Ellen: You married me. You popped me the question right after college.

엘런: 나하고 결혼한 거 보면. 당신 대학 마치자마자 나한테 청혼했잖아.

Mike: Yes but when I asked you to marry me you said you wanted to sleep on it.

마이크: 그랬지. 한데 내가 결혼해 달라니까 하루 더 생각해보겠다고 그랬잖아.

Ellen: I did not!

엘런: 안 그랬어!

Mike: You did so.

마이크: 그랬어.

▶pop the question: 청혼하다.
“I’m going to pop the question tonight after dinner. I sure hope she says yes.”
(오늘밤 저녁 식사 뒤 청혼할 거야. 그녀가 꼭 그러겠다고 해야 하는데.)

▶right after: 곧바로.
“I took a hot bath right after I got home from work.”

▶sleep on it: 하루 더 생각하다. 숙고하다.
“He offered to sell me his computer, but I told him I wanted to sleep on it.”
(그 사람이 나한테 컴퓨터를 팔겠다고 하길래 하루 더 생각해 보겠다고 했지.)
