짐: 그 축구 게임 지난 주에 TV 중계 봤어?

Roger: Do you mean the game between Mexico and the U.S?

라저: 멕시코와 미국 게임 말하는 거야?

Jim: Yes.

짐: 응.

Roger: No I didn't but I read in the paper that Mexico won 2 to 1.

라저: 아니 못 봤는데 멕시코가 2대 1로 이겼다는 건 신문에서 읽었어.

Jim: Yes and the Mexican fans were all fired up.

짐: 맞아. 그리고 멕시코 팬들이 일제히 열광했잖아.

Roger: Sure. They were very excited. People were dancing in the streets.

라저: 그래. 멕시코 팬들 정말 흥분했지. 사람들이 거리에서 춤을 추고.

Jim: Do you like soccer?

짐: 축구 좋아해?

Roger: No I'm not into soccer.

라저: 아니. 축구엔 관심 없어.

Jim: Neither am I. I go for basketball and baseball.

짐: 나도 그래. 난 농구하고 야구 좋아해.

Roger: Me too.

라저: 나도.

*in the paper: 신문에서.

“I read in the paper that it’s going to rain this weekend.” (신문에서 읽었는데 이번 주말에 비가 올 거래.)

*(one) is not into (something): 관심이 없다.

“She’s not into jazz.” (그녀는 재즈에 취미가 없어.)

*(one) goes for (something): 좋아하다. (반대말은 one is not into something).

“I go for pizza and beer.” (난 피자하고 맥주 좋아해.)
