(라저가 직장에서 짐과 이야기를 하며…)

Roger: Are you going to be on the computer long?

라저: 컴퓨터 오래 쓸 거야?

Jim: I just need ten more minutes and then I can wrap up this report.

짐: 10분만 더 쓰면 보고서 다 끝낼 수 있어.

Roger: That's okay. Take your time.

라저: 그럼 됐어. 천천히 해.

Jim: Dr. Park wants this student attendance report by 1:30 today.

짐: 닥터 박이 오늘 1시 30분까지 학생 출결석 상황을 보고하라고 해서 말이야.

Roger: Oh so this will tell Dr. Park who is coming to class and who isn't?

라저: 아 그럼 이 보고서가 닥터 박에게 어떤 학생이 출석하고 어떤 학생이 결석하는지 알려주는 거구나?

Jim: Right.

짐: 그렇지.

Roger: So then what happens?

라저: 그럼 그 다음에 어떻게 되는 거야?

Jim: The students who are skipping class a lot will get a letter from the school …

짐: 수업을 많이 빼먹는 학생은 학교에서 편지 받게 될 거야.

Roger: Telling them they have to improve their attendance in class?

라저: 출석률 높여야 한다는 통고하는 편지 말이지?

Jim: That's right.

짐: 그렇지.

▶take your time: 천천히 해.

"You don't have to walk so fast. Take your time. We won't be late."

▶skip class: 수업을 빼먹다.

"I had to skip classes yesterday because I had a terrible headache."
