Rick: How was your lunch?

릭: 점심 어땠어?

Steve: It was very interesting for a change.

스티브: 새로운 기분이 들어서 아주 재미있었어.

Rick: Are you talking about a woman?

릭: 여자 얘기하는 거야?

Steve: No no. I had lunch with a guy I haven't seen in years.

스티브: 아니 아니야. 남자와 점심 먹었는데 몇 년 동안 못 보던 사람이야.

Rick: That doesn't seem so interesting to me.

릭: 그거면 그렇게 재미있을 것 같지 않은데.

Steve: We talked about old times. I loved it.

스티브: 옛날 얘기했어. 좋았어.

Rick: Were you good friends then?

릭: 그럼 둘이 친구였어?

Steve: Not really but we had some mutual friends.

스티브: 꼭 그런 아니지만 우리 둘이 모두 아는 친구가 좀 있었거든.

Rick: So what did you talk about?

릭: 그래 둘이 무슨 얘기했는데?

Steve: He caught me up on a lot of people we both know.

스티브: 우리 둘 다 알고 있는 사람들이 많은데 그 친구가 그 사람들 소식 얘기해줬어.

▶for a change: 기분전환으로.
"My roommate only took twenty minutes on the computer for a change."

▶old times: 옛날. 옛일.
"I've been thinking about old times recently."
(난 요즘 옛날 생각이 나.)

▶catch (one) up on (something): (누가) 모르는 일을 얘기해주다.
"I'll catch you up on all the news since you've been in China."
(네가 중국 간 사이 있었던 소식을 다 얘기해줄게.)
