Since the company’s foundation in 1971, HJC has specialized in manufacturing motorcycle and other safety helmet exclusively. The combination of this extensive specialized manufacturing experience, innovative ideas, and reasonable pricing has led to HJC’s success in worldwide markets.
It is HJC’s continual goal to provide high quality, comfortable, and reasonably priced helmet to motorcyclists around the world.
As a result of this sales activity, HJC has successfully remained a top helmet brand in North America since 1992.
The secret to the 20 years of success is the Research and Development (R&D). HJC continues to spend about 10 percent of its revenue on R&D and the firm now sells its lids in more than 65 countries, with everything from full-face to half helmets in the mix. In particular, HJC Korea employs more than 200 people handling “R&D / Design / Quality & Control,” making the area another strong point for the company.
HJC is only one of very few helmet companies equipped with its own state of the art wind tunnel testing laboratory to test for aerodynamics, ventilation and noise, etc. Further, HJC has four helmet factories in four strategic locations; South Korea, China, Vietnam and North Korea. These factories produce high-end, mid- and entry-level products to satisfy high demands of consumers worldwide.
Also, HJC operates the Standards and Testing lab, where all helmets are tested to worldwide safety standards applicable in more than 60 countries where HJC helmets are available. HJC has its own rigorous set of internal quality, durability and safety tests each lid must pass, in addition to standards of the destination country.
In the fall of 2010, HJC introduced the RPHA-10 full face helmet that features an extremely light weight shell, with a patent-pending center locking mechanism, aerodynamics and comfort.
This model showcases technical capabilities and innovations such as advanced ventilation channeling system and unique composite shell designs. Professional racers, including 2011 Moto GP Factory Yamaha racer Ben Spies, wear RPHA-10 helmets.
Thanks to the addition of new helmet models, HJC has continued to thrive as a brand friendly to motorcyclists around the world providing safe, comfortable, stylish and affordable gears.
HJC has for a long time maintained mutually reliable business relationships with global distributors and dealers, in an effort to ensure a bright future for the company.
