Korea Land & Housing Corporation is one of Korea’s biggest real estate and construction companies. The government-owned corporation was launched in 2009, when the two major public enterprises, Korea Land Corporation and Korea Housing Corporation, were merged into one company, Korea Land & Housing Corporation. The economic situation in 2009 was dire.
The international enterprise of Korea Land & Housing Corporations has been very successful since 2009. The total revenue of its enterprise is more than $500 billion.
The corporation has served as the best supporter of urban development in many countries, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Ghana, the Philippines, the United Ara
b Emirates, and China.
Apartment complex construction in Indonesia is leading example of urban development. In the Philippines, it carried out a similar but more complicated project. The corporation researched the feasibility of the agricultural-industrial complex and looked into technical issues.
However, efficiency from a speedy merger led to higher profits. In 2011, the profit was approximately $670 million, a 55-percent jump from the previous year.
Foreign projects in 2012 include planning a new city in Algeria; making the master plan for the city of Hue in Vietnam; crafting the master plan for a fabric industrial complex in Indonesia; and setting up collaboration between the Korean and Chinese governments on new town projects in China.
“We celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2012 and I think our job is to plan for the next 100 years,” said Ji Song Lee, CEO of Korea Land & Housing Corporation. “And I believe passion for our mission will be the key for a brighter future.”
