Korea Agro-Fishires & Food Trade Corporation, formally known as aT, has set its sight on $10 billion in revenue, and it is prepared to become an agricultural powerhouse.

aT founded to connect customers and producers, such as farmers and fishermen, directly. The corporation, launched in 1967, has been bridging the economic and social gap between the urban area and rural area for over 40 years.

aT seeks to strive in both the domestic market and the global market. The leading example of the global effort is aT Grain Company. Recently founded by the consortium of aT and other firms, aT Grain Company is located in North America and responsible for delivering Korean grain products to customers in North America.

With this global effort, aT has sold $7.7 billion worth of agricultural products. Several strategies were put in place to that end. Its reaction to the devastating tsunami in Japan is an example of efficient execution of strategies. Right after the disaster, aT formed a task force team to respond to tremendous change in the global food market. With the effort, the export of Korean agricultural and fisheries products increased by 30 percent, the highest increase in history.

The company’s contribution to public welfare has laid the foundation for aT to develop into a powerhouse. In 2005, it created ‘aT Love Sharing Team,” which has made audio books for those with hearing impairments, created jobs for underprivileged people and hosted cultural events with multi-cultural families.
