Manmin Central Church, led by Senior Pastor Dr. Soojin Lee, announced that it held a 15th anniversary worship service on March 1 at its branch congregation, Chiang Rai Manmin Church, located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. The church said the event also served as an opportunity to expand fellowship through a series of cultural experience programs.

During the first session of the service, Vice President of the Pastors’ Association, Rev. Miyoung Lee, delivered a sermon titled “Pressing Toward the Goal.” Church officials explained that the anniversary event was designed to reflect on the ministry’s journey over the past 15 years while sharing its vision for the future.
The celebration continued with cultural exchange activities. Participants took part in making som tam—Thailand’s signature green papaya salad—creating what organizers described as a natural setting for fellowship. The church noted that it has previously introduced Korean cuisine through K-food events when overseas members, including those from Thailand, visited South Korea during the annual Manmin Summer Retreat. This latest program, it said, was an extension of those mutual cultural exchanges.

On the same day, a makeup artist from the church’s missionary team was invited to lead a K-beauty lecture, introducing trends in Korean beauty culture. According to church officials, the session drew strong interest from local attendees.
A church representative said the anniversary would serve as a stepping stone to further integrate faith and culture in its outreach efforts and to strengthen cooperative ties with local congregations.
