The event brought together approximately 40 professionals and industry leaders from across the tech sector aimed at strengthening communication skills. Sponsors and partners included global recruitment firm RecruitFirst, the British Embassy Seoul, the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea (BCCK), I in We, and Tech Korea Advocates.
The program was structured into three sessions: A keynote on career development, an interactive workshop focused on clear and impactful communication, and a networking session.
Keynote speaker Carol Moh, Global Program Lead at global growth and accelerator consultancy Pitchify, shared insights from her experience working at global companies such as Morgan Stanley, HSBC, and LOVO AI. Drawing from her experience working across industries and cultural contexts, Carol discussed navigating global careers in the tech sector.
The workshop session was led by business communication coach Julie Oh, who guided participants through real-world workplace scenarios. The session emphasized strategies for delivering clear messages and developing persuasive speaking skills, with particular attention to communication in cross-cultural and global work environments.
“Clear and strategic communication is not a skill that can be mastered overnight, but it is directly linked to tangible business outcomes,” said Ann Fuell of the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea. “We hope this workshop served as an opportunity for participants to recognize their potential and take a meaningful step forward in their professional growth.”
Chaiwon Lee, a representative of nonprofit organization I in We (formerly Girls in Tech Korea), highlighted the significance of the event in fostering connection among women in Korea. “This event created a meaningful space for women from diverse backgrounds to share experiences, strengthen communication skills, and grow together.”
Based in Seoul, The Tech Table is a global community for women in technology, providing professional development programs and networking opportunities for those working across the tech industry.
