Contemporary jewelry artist Jung Ki "Jackie" Min has achieved significant international recognition following her official invitation to the "MAD about Jewelry 2026" annual showcase, held at the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in Manhattan from May 5 to May 9. Organized by the museum, this prestigious event meticulously selects and invites promising contemporary jewelry artists worldwide who demonstrate exceptional originality and artistic excellence. At this showcase, Min presented her highly acclaimed "Portal" series, which explores the profound connection between specific spatial environments and inner emotional landscapes. For Min, this exhibition represented the fulfillment of a seven-year aspiration that began during her student days, firmly establishing her as a leading figure among emerging international artists. The event provided a valuable opportunity to share her artistic vision directly with the public, gauge live reactions, and exchange creative energy with a diverse group of international jewelry artists.

Min’s global prominence is anchored in an extraordinary academic foundation and a continuous trajectory of rigorous cross-disciplinary experimentation. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics and Fiber Arts from Seoul Women's University, a foundational experience that provided her with a unique perspective on material textures. She subsequently graduated with Highest Honors from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, earning her BFA in Jewelry along with the institute's prestigious Gemstone Award. In 2025, Min obtained her Master of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Metalsmithing from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Her distinct creative voice led to her selection for the "RISD New Contemporaries 25" exhibition and the world-renowned Marzee International Graduate Show in the Netherlands, highlights that underscored her exceptional capabilities early in her career.

Her technical prowess and design innovation have been further validated by an impressive array of global accolades. Min secured the Gold Winner title at both the French Design Awards and the Muse Design Awards, alongside the Bronze Winner honor at the A' Design Awards. Her extensive exhibition record spans major cultural hubs, including featured presentations at Slovenian Jewelry Week, New York Jewelry Week, the Enjoia't Juried Exhibition in Barcelona, Spain, and the Society of North American Goldsmiths Student Juried Exhibition.

In addition to her conceptual achievements, Min boasts an elite professional background within the high-end jewelry industry. She notably served as a Bench Jeweler at the legendary high jewelry house Harry Winston in Manhattan, executing intricate fabrications under uncompromising workshop procedures. Her professional experience also includes designing technical sketches and overseeing custom production processes for prominent contemporary brands like Paige Novick, Catbird, and Selina King Jewelry. Furthermore, Min has also developed her teaching practice through instructional roles at RISD, where she led studio-based jewelry courses, and currently teaches specialized wax carving and metalwork courses at Brooklyn Metal Works.

Critics and industry observers evaluate Min's work as a masterful synthesis of rigorous commercial manufacturing precision and avant-garde academic conceptualism. By bridging the gap between fine craftsmanship and abstract narrative forms, she introduces a new structural paradigm to the contemporary jewelry landscape. Moving forward, Min plans to expand her specialized career within the United States, actively pursuing independent projects, collaborative exhibitions, and eventual solo showcases to present her evolving artistic narrative to the global audience.
