TEDxSeoul Opens 2026 Youth Event with Dwight School Seoul Students Inspiring Next-Generation Thinkers and Doers

TEDxSeoul, the groundbreaking platform known for discovering innovative ideas, fostering cross-disciplinary networking, and delivering inspiring live talks, partnered with Dwight School Seoul, the first International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in Seoul dedicated to igniting the spark of genius in every student, to host TEDxSeoul Youth 2026 on June 10, 2026, at Dwight School Seoul.

The collaboration showcased ten exceptional student speakers selected from Dwight School Seoul's vibrant student community. Following a rigorous selection process guided by TEDxSeoul standards and speaker development protocols, ten students were chosen to take the TEDxSeoul stage: Nicolas, Sophia, Yaesuh, Jiwoo, Philip, Emma, Charlotte, Yunah, Thomas, and Hoyeon. Each speaker brought a unique perspective to the event, sharing personal stories, innovative ideas, and thought-provoking insights aligned with the theme, "Pause, Leap and Yes."
 
The theme encouraged students to reflect on the power of taking a moment to pause, finding the courage to leap into the unknown, and embracing opportunities with a resounding "yes." Through compelling stories and thought-provoking presentations, the speakers explored topics ranging from personal growth and innovation to social impact, leadership, and global citizenship.
 
The event provided students with a unique opportunity to engage directly with TEDxSeoul's community of innovators, entrepreneurs, educators, artists, and changemakers. Attendees experienced an inspiring exchange of ideas that highlighted the creativity, resilience, and potential of the next generation.
 
“Today's youth are not simply the leaders of tomorrow, they are already shaping the world around them,” said a Daivd Choo, TEDxSeoul licensee and curator. “By providing a platform for young voices, we create opportunities for meaningful conversations and fresh perspectives that can inspire positive change.”
 

The partnership reflected the shared commitment of TEDxSeoul and Dwight School Seoul to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and leadership among young people. As students stepped onto the TEDxSeoul stage, they demonstrated the confidence to share their ideas with a wider audience and contribute to discussions that transcend disciplines and borders.
 
The event also featured three influential speakers from diverse professional backgrounds: Chris Hambasoomian, known as Chambo, an influencer and creative voice; Hyunwoo Sun, an innovative educator; and Conrad Francis OLY, an Olympic swimmer and elite high-performance coach. The programme was presented in three sessions and included a special performance by the Dwight School Seoul Dance Team, adding energy and celebration to the day.
 
The event concluded with networking sessions that connected students with professionals, educators, and community leaders, fostering meaningful dialogue and future collaboration opportunities.
 
By bringing together emerging student voices and established thought leaders, TEDxSeoul and Dwight School Seoul created an unforgettable experience that celebrated the power of ideas and empowered young people to become the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and doers.
