Job Title: Special Reporter on Social and Political Issues
Primary Job Responsibilities: - Examine political and social news items of local, national, and international significance to determine topics to address.
- Gather information and develop perspectives about political and social news subjects through research, interviews, observation, and experience.
- Travel to the scene of an event, gathering information and quotes from official sources such as police or fire crews or witnesses, putting together the story.
- Communicate with the parent company in Korea and “The New York Times” to collect the latest news and breaking news on politics in the U.S. and Korea.
- Select material most pertinent to presentation, and organize this material into appropriate formats.
- Write columns, editorials, commentaries, or scripts that interpret events or offer opinions, using computers.
Requirements: Bachelor in Politics, Communication, or Related Fields with Experience
Hours: 40 hours per week
