Daryl: What's the occasion?

대릴: 왠 일이야?

Len: What are you talking about?

렌: 무슨 뜻이지?

Daryl: You didn't invite me to lunch without a reason?

대릴: 괜이 점심 먹자고 부른 건 아니겠지?

Len: You picked up the tab the last time we had lunch.

렌: 지난 번 우리 점심 먹을 때 자네가 샀잖아.

Daryl: Len I can read you like a book. Tell me the truth.

대릴: 렌 난 널 잘 알아. 자 진심을 얘기해봐.

Len: You're right. I want to quit my job.

렌: 그래 네 말이 맞아. 나 직장을 그만 두고 싶어.

Daryl: But you're making good money. Why would you want to do that?

대릴: 하지만 너 돈 잘 벌고 있잖아. 근데 왜 그만 두고 싶어?

Len: I want to travel around the world.

렌: 난 세계를 여행해보고 싶어서.

Daryl: That sounds like a pipe dream.

대릴: 그건 헛된 꿈 같아.

Len: I was hoping you would understand.

렌: 난 네가 이해해주길 바랬어.

* pick up the tab: 돈을 내주다

"The company is picking up the tab so order whatever you want." (회사에서 돈을 내주는 거니까 아무 거나 주문하세요.)

* make good money: 돈을 많이 벌다

"She must have a good job because she makes good money." (그녀는 돈을 잘 버는 걸 보니 좋은 직장을 갖고 있나봅니다.)

* a pipe dream: 실현 불가능한 꿈 허황된 꿈
