NexV Unveils AI-Powered ‘Mental Health Chair’ at MEDICA 2025, Announcing Global Push

AI healthcare specialist NexV (CEO Hyunji Yoon) has officially announced the development of a new concept mental health solution at MEDICA 2025, the world's largest medical device exhibition held in Düsseldorf, Germany. This announcement marks the full-scale launch of the company's entry into the global market. MEDICA, an exhibition that draws over 80,000 medical professionals and buyers annually in Düsseldorf, saw the participation of approximately 5,600 companies from 71 countries this year.   This technology is a research project selected for the government-led ‘Micro DIPS (Super gap 1000)’ program, positioned as a next-generation mental care platform aimed at stress reduction and mental well-being enhancement.   Core of the Technology: AI-Biosignal Fusion and Multimodal System NexV unveiled the ‘Mental Health Chair’, based on AI and biosignal fusion technology, for the first time at the exhibition. The device’s core is a multimodal system that measures various biosignals—including Electroencephalography (EEG) and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) utilizing remote Photoplethysmography (rPPG)—in real-time to analyze the user's emotional state and stress index.   The Mental Health Chair uses an integrated camera and an EEG headset to precisely measure emotional and stress states. Based on the collected data, an AI counseling module automatically recommends emotionally tailored dialogue and meditation content. Users can directly experience various psychological and meditation sessions through an interactive interface linked to the chair.   Increasing Accessibility Through Everyday Devices CEO Hyunji Yoon shared her vision at the event: “It is incredibly meaningful to introduce a Mental Health Chair version that combines AI technology and biosignal analysis to the global market.” She emphasized the user-centric innovation: “We will continue our innovation by using conversation with a familiar AI character to assess the user’s emotional state in real-time, and by providing customized counseling and meditation content to help alleviate stress and promote mental well-being.”   Yoon further stressed the platform’s transformative role: “This research will be a turning point, expanding emotional and psychological measurement technology—previously confined to hospital and clinical settings—into a tangible, everyday device. By offering personalized counseling and meditation experiences based on individual biosignals, we will significantly enhance the accessibility of mental healthcare management.”   Commercialization and Future Expansion The research, being carried out through the Micro DIPS program, is scheduled to continue until the end of 2025. NexV plans to swiftly integrate the research outcomes into the commercialization phase to establish a new business model in the global mental health market. The company stated that it will accelerate its domestic and international market penetration by expanding into a multimodal healthcare platform that integrates technology, content, and service in the future.      정현식 기자announcing health health chair ai healthcare health solution
