Jane: This is about your love life isn't it? 제인: 연애에 관한 거지 안그래? Mary: Yeah sort of…what do you think of Ed? 매리: 말하자면 그래. 너 에드에 대해 어떻게 생각하니? Jane: Well you know him better than I do but you said he makes you happy. 제인: 그 사람이야 나보나 네가 더 잘 알잖아. 그 사람은 너를 기쁘게 해준다며. Mary: He does. I know he respects me but his past bothers me. 매리: 맞아. 나를 존중하는 건 알겠는데 그 사람의 과거가 좀 걸려. Jane: His past? Was he a killer or something? 제인: 과거라니? 누굴 죽이기라도 한 거야? Mary: No. He had a girlfriend that he was in love with. 매리: 아니. 사랑했던 여자가 있었어. Jane: That's what you're worried about? That's ancient history. 제인: 그게 걱정인 거니? 그거야 이제 상관도 없는 옛날 일이야. Mary: But I can't get it out of my mind. 매리: 하지만 그게 머리에서 떠나질 않아. Jane: Come on Mary. Get over it. Oliver is talking to his co-worker Lucy. (올리버가 직장 동료 루시와 얘기하고 있다.) Oliver: Why are you so late? Problem putting your makeup on? 올리버: 왜 이렇게 늦었어? 화장하는 데 힘들었어? Lucy: Don’t be so sarcastic. It was my girlfriend Suzie. 루시: 그렇게 비꼬지 마. 친구 수지 때문이야. Oliver: What’s her problem this time? 올리버: 이번엔 또 뭐가 문제래? Lucy: She’s just broken up with her boyfriend so she needed a shoulder to cry on. 루시: 남자친구와 헤어졌대. 위로해줄 사람이 필요하대서. Oliver: She never seems to have a relationship with anyone for very long. 올리버: 수지는 누구와 오래 사귀는 걸 한 번도 못 본 것 같아. Lucy: It’s not her fault.
