[오늘의 생활영어] What a shame; 섭섭해서 어떡해 유감이다

 (Two friends are talking…)   (친구 둘이 이야기를 하며…)   Marcie: Are you going to the party Saturday night?   마시: 토요일 밤 파티에 갈 거야?   Shelly: No. I hadn't planned to.   셸리: 아니. 그럴 계획 없어.   Marcie: Why? Do you have other plans?   마시: 왜? 다른 계획 있어?   Shelly: No but I'd feel like a fifth wheel because everyone going to the party is married.   셸리: 그건 아닌데 어색해서. 파티에 오는 사람들 다 결혼한 사람들이잖아.   Marcie: But they are your friends.   마시: 그래도 다 네 친구잖아.   Shelly: I know but I'd feel out of place since my divorce.   셸리: 아는데 이혼한 뒤로는 영 어색해.   Marcie: What a shame.
