GLEC AI Tachograph (ATG) AX Solution: An Integrated Solution Predicting Everything from Driver Fatigue to Vehicle Failures

Korean logistics technology company GLEC is developing the “AI Tachograph (ATG) AX Solution”, an integrated platform that combines driver condition monitoring with predictive vehicle maintenance. This marks a new approach to managing driver safety and fleet maintenance, areas that have traditionally been handled separately.   The logistics industry is grappling with a dual challenge: a global shortage of truck drivers and rising maintenance costs caused by unexpected vehicle breakdowns. Industry data shows both issues are increasingly weighing on operators worldwide.   One of the core features of the GLEC AI Tachograph AX platform is driver fatigue prediction. By analyzing driving patterns and rest periods, the system evaluates fatigue levels and sends alerts when risk thresholds are reached—both to the driver in real time and to fleet managers via the administrative dashboard.   Another key capability under development is predictive vehicle maintenance. Leveraging accumulated diagnostic data, the system can anticipate component failures before they occur, enabling proactive repairs and reducing costly downtime.   Still, the technology faces challenges. Some industry voices have raised concerns about excessive monitoring and its implications for driver privacy. GLEC has acknowledged these concerns, emphasizing that all data collected is encrypted and safeguarded with robust security measures.   The economic benefits, however, are promising. Simulation results suggest that GLEC’s platform could significantly reduce operating costs by improving efficiency. Full-scale validation is expected to begin following the official launch at CES 2026.   Industry experts anticipate that integrated vehicle management platforms will become a defining trend in logistics. Systems that can manage driver safety, vehicle efficiency, and internationally standardized carbon emissions all in one platform are expected to see rising demand.   At the heart of the ATG AX solution is the GLEC API Calculation Engine, which processes and analyzes diverse data streams in real time. The system updates once per second, simultaneously performing accurate ISO 14083-compliant carbon emissions calculations.   GLEC also plans to offer the ATG AX solution as a SaaS (Software as a Service) product. This subscription model will allow even small and mid-sized logistics companies to adopt enterprise-level fleet management capabilities without heavy upfront investment.   Looking ahead, GLEC aims to further enhance the system with advanced AI features. Planned upgrades include personalized safety guidance for each driver, route optimization that factors in weather and traffic conditions, and transport condition management tailored to cargo types. Through these advancements, GLEC seeks to position the ATG AX not merely as a monitoring tool, but as a core operational partner for logistics companies worldwide.   GLEC will officially unveil the AI Tachograph AX Solution at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, where the industry will see firsthand how this Korean innovation could reshape global logistics operations.    정현식 기자solution tachograph driver fatigue ax solution vehicle maintenance

GLEC AI Tachograph Sets New Benchmark for Logistics Industry with Real-Time Carbon Measurement Every Second

Korean logistics technology company GLEC is redefining industry standards with its AI Tachograph (ATG), a breakthrough device capable of calculating carbon emissions in real time—once every second.   Today, most logistics companies still calculate carbon emissions at the end of a month or quarter, typically relying on estimates. Yet, with the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) coming into effect and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) enforcing climate disclosure rules, precise data is no longer optional. Until now, however, real-time measurement has been considered technically unfeasible.   GLEC has overcome this barrier. From the moment the AI Tachograph is installed in a vehicle, it begins calculating and recording carbon emissions every second. Acceleration, deceleration, idling, hill climbs—every driving condition is immediately reflected in the data.   At the heart of GLEC ATG is its proprietary API calculation engine. The company has successfully optimized the internationally recognized ISO 14083 methodology—long considered too complex for real-time use—into an algorithm capable of delivering results within a single second.   Pilot tests have already demonstrated the value of this innovation. In one case, significantly higher-than-expected emissions were identified on a specific route, allowing immediate route adjustments and driving behavior improvements to reduce both fuel costs and emissions.   Ease of use is another advantage. Like a conventional digital tachograph, the ATG requires only installation in the vehicle. No complicated setup or driver training is needed. The system automatically collects and analyzes data, and, when necessary, provides voice alerts to warn drivers of reduced fuel efficiency.   As the importance of accurate carbon data grows, global corporations are beginning to demand precise emissions figures from their supply chain partners. With GLEC ATG, logistics providers can meet these demands instantly.   To ensure reliability, GLEC is conducting extensive testing across multiple vehicle types, from small trucks to heavy-duty fleets, verifying both compatibility and accuracy.   GLEC plans to officially unveil the ATG Series 5 at CES 2026 in Las Vegas this coming January. Visitors will be able to witness firsthand how the device updates emissions data in real time, second by second, on actual vehicles.   Industry experts predict that GLEC ATG will become more than just a measurement tool—it has the potential to drive the digital transformation of the logistics sector. For small and mid-sized logistics companies, in particular, it could enable carbon management capabilities previously accessible only to large enterprises.   With the global carbon management technology market expected to grow rapidly through 2030, all eyes are now on how GLEC’s AI Tachograph will shape the future of logistics decarbonization.    정현식 기자measurement tachograph carbon emissions time measurement korean logistics
