FINE KOWAC Signs MOU with The Committee for Roads of Uzbekistan for Localization of Asphalt Repair System

FINE KOWAC, a comprehensive engineering company, recently announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Committee for Roads of Uzbekistan to introduce an infrared (IR) heating-based asphalt repair system. Through this collaboration, the two parties aim to improve local road infrastructure and promote sustainable road maintenance technologies in Uzbekistan.   FINE KOWAC recently showcased its infrared heating-based asphalt repair system on a 5-kilometer section of the A373 road near Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The demonstration was successfully conducted in the presence of both local officials and representatives from FINE KOWAC.   According to the company, the system uses infrared heating technology to rapidly soften existing asphalt pavement. This allows the damaged areas to be restored with minimal new materials, resulting in a smooth and durable surface.   This method is considered an eco-friendly solution as it produces no waste, unlike traditional milling methods. The system offers superior repair quality and near-permanent durability. The demonstration section received high praise from local officials for its seamless finish and excellent waterproof performance.   Through this partnership, the two parties plan to actively pursue system procurement and localization projects. FINE KOWAC will work with The Committee for Roads to provide technical training, establish equipment manufacturing and maintenance systems, and develop customized solutions tailored to local needs. These efforts aim to elevate the quality of road maintenance in Uzbekistan to a global standard and contribute to the region’s economic and infrastructure development.   A representative from FINE KOWAC stated, “The infrared heating-based asphalt repair system offers a more economical and efficient alternative to traditional temporary methods, delivering semi-permanent repairs that significantly reduce the social costs of road maintenance while enhancing road quality in Uzbekistan. With this MOU, we are committed to contributing to the country’s road infrastructure development and expanding our global presence.”    최지원 기자localization uzbekistan asphalt repair localization projects in uzbekistan
